Get To Know The Lead Counsellor

Passionate, Caring, Authentic

Hello there, I’m Lori-Ann, a Registered Social Worker and Counselor with over seven years of experience serving my community in various Social Services and other settings.

At The Butterfly Park (TBP), my mission is to provide a unique, hope-based, and Solution-Focused approach that addresses the needs of those we serve. I am here to guide your journey, inspire you to dream out loud, and help you find peace and answers within, transforming how you move forward.

TBP Services brings extensive experience in facilitating support groups and various conversations amongst youth and adults 18+, gained from working with the Afro-Caribbean and Black (ACB), Indigenous populations and non-ACB communities.

With years of experience working with various Social Service NGO agencies in Ontario, including:

  • Project Agape

  • Power of Love Foundation Canada (POLCA)

  • Centre for All Women’s Initiative (CAWI)

  • Black Mental Health Canada

  • African Caribbean Black Mental Healthcare

  • Domestic Violence Shelters across Southern Ontario

TBP Services acknowledges that we work and live on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg Peoples. The Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. As African, Caribbean, and Black people on these lands, we are grateful for the opportunities we have, while also recognizing the injustices faced by those who came before us. We remain committed to advocating for equitable treatment, recognized freedoms, justice, and rights for all
